The shop has nine engine lathes, three vertical milling machines,
two horizontal milling machines, two surface grinders, a tool and cutter
grinder, a computerized numerical control lathe and a computerized numerical
control milling machine. In addition, computers and software are available
for teaching computerized numerical control programming and part drawings.
Students need a solid mathematics background. Students with a B or better
average can earn up to six hours of college credit at Foothills Technical
College.
